A huge THANX to Leah Macdonald, my talented and beautiful wedding photographer and her friend (and mine too!) Susan Beard, for our beautiful engagement photography!

I had the opportunity to take Peter to WPPI this past year. I really wanted to show him just how passionate I was about wedding photography and I wanted to share with him the creativity and passion that can be found in this medium. Peter is my fiance, my love, and my business partner. He has blindly supported my other love, wedding photography, which can overwhelm our lives... ALL of the time! WPPI Las Vegas showed him how amazing this field can truly be!

During our time in Vegas, Leah offered to shoot a very stylized vision of our upcoming nuptuals. I styled the shoot, Leah, Susan, and a good friend... another Peter, shot the engagement session. I couldn't have asked for more amazing imagery! How lucky am I!? Three award winning photographers shooting my LOVE! Without this Love I couldn't do what I do! And they captured it purely and perfectly! Even the cold weather and rain couldn't stop us! We rolled down the '59 Caddy soft-top and took off into the desert for the most amazing engagement shoot ever! I can't wait to share even more photos from March 7th, 2010!
So much for a day to day countdown... life gets in the way!

I am so excited about my first wedding of the season! Colleen and Dave will be wed on May 8th, 2010. We will be staging the first meeting prior to the ceremony at Barclay Farmstead in Cherry Hill, NJ.

This homestead reminds me so much of Bartram's Gardens where I will be getting married next month. I tried to get Peter to see me before the ceremony, but again I have been vetoed by groomzilla. He actually called himself "Groomzilla" at my bridal shower (which he was nice enough to drop me off at and pick me up from). Peter knew that I wanted a co-ed shower at a local bar, but the rest of the family wanted something more traditional. I have to say... the compromise was perfect. My Mom & my lil' sis held a beautiful... and dare I say fun... bridal shower at Valley Green Inn in Philadelphia. This is one of my favorite spots in Philly and Peter and I like to "get away" to the Wissahickon when we can!

The shower was a casual brunch complete with oversized mimosas and gormet chix salad. (Chix salad...my favorite, I get these cravings like 5 times a year! And...I normally drink Bloodies but was too nervous... I have been known to spill after 1 or 3 or so... soooo the champagne did it's job!) I was able to mingle, smile, and do the dreaded... opening of gifts in front of an audience!

Anyway, the best part of the shower, besides the wonderful people who came out to celebrate, was the table place settings. The settings were modeled after my description of the wedding day, Napa style tables that I am creating at Bartram's. The best part was the picture frames that were carefully placed on each table. The photos in the frames were details of my new home with my future Huzband! The house number, the kitchen window, the front door, everything was there... artistically rendered and representing the theme of the shower, "HOME". Each guest at the shower was given a room and they had the option of looking at our online registry and helping to furnish that room. Pretty cool!

Pistols n' Stamens

Pistols n' Stamens is my "anti-blog" because ... well even wedding photographers deserve a place to vent while they are on the countdown towards marriage....

So be warned, while I have the best job in the world, I need a space to vent as a bride!
